NPRA Gift Catalog

Give a gift that lasts all year

Give a gift of love to a child or Elder living on impoverished remote Native American reservations by choosing any product or service you like from below. So often, these vulnerable citizens are faced with a lack of hope for the future and now you can choose the perfect gift to brighten their lives through the year.

Once you've made your purchase, you'll be given the option of sending an Honor eCard to loved ones to let them know a gift has been made in their honor, if you like.

Gift products are presented for donation purposes only and are not available for individual sale. We apologize but only one honorary eCard is permitted per transaction. If you have more than one person to honor, please make separate donations.

Sponsor a Vegetable Garden
Help an Elder or family grow nutritious vegetables by sponsoring a garden. Each Elder you sponsor will have their garden tilled. They will also receive lots of seed packets, hoses, some sunscreen, and some hand tools (while supplies last.) The fresh vegetables help balance out the steady diet of packaged food and alleviate the fact that sometimes fresh vegetables on the reservation are in short supply or unaffordable.

Start an Elder's Day with Breakfast-in-a-Bag
Start an Elder's day out right by providing a grocery bag of nutritious breakfast food for an Elder on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. Elders receive the groceries in the third week of the month when their funds are starting to run low. The groceries usually include a dozen eggs, 2 pounds of bananas, applesauce, a bag of potatoes, milk, bread, juice, cereal, ground beef or stew meat, and link sausages.* Elders particularly like the potatoes and stew meat because they can use it for soup and make it last longer. (* Items may vary.)

Treat Several Elders to Lunch
The Elderly Nutrition Centers (ENCs) are important places for many reservation Elders. They are able to receive a hot noon meal at the centers and socialize with others, which is so important. $30 helps provide about 120 servings. The food provided helps the center to continue offering nutrition meals in good sized servings throughout the month. They are more likely to provide fresh food, since hopefully, they will have some funds available to purchase fresh meat, dairy products and produce for the Elders.
