This is your 2013 ING New York City Marathon personal fundraising webpage and you are the "Champion." To add a more personal touch, you can make this fund in honor or memory of someone. If you do, they are the "Fund Honoree," and they or a family member can be notified as donations are received.

Once you complete these easy steps, your page will be immediately available on the Internet. You'll have access to the Champion Center, where you can begin sending emails to your friends and family and make updates to your page. Thank you for the incredible commitment you are making.

The information you need to supply depends on what type of fund you create.
Honorary campaigns require honoree name and contact information.
Memorial funds require honoree name and contact information for the honoree’s representative.
Personal funds do not require this information.

The following image shows how the content elements are arranged on your default fund page. As you work with the sections below, the corresponding section in the image will highlight to indicate where that information will be located on the default fund page layout.

Enter your first and last name as the "Fund Name." Check the spelling of your name to ensure that supporters can find you when they search for you.

Why do you care so passionately about stroke? Tell a personal story to inspire people to donate to your fund. You can return later to the Champion Center to make changes.

 

 

 

Post a picture and add a personal touch! You can change photos or add photo albums later in the Champion Center.

 

Upload a Picture for Your Fund Webpage:

1. Prepare your image.
Images must be .gif, .jpg, or .png files. Files with a .jpg or .png type will be automatically resized to fit in a 225 x 300 pixel space. The maximum acceptable file size is 1.5 Mb.

2. Select the file.
Enter the name of the file on your computer or use the Browse button to select the file.

3. Click the upload image button.


 

 

Do you have a fundraising goal? Goals are not required but are helpful incentives to get people to contribute to your fund.

Your fund description appears alongside your fund name in search results, distinguishing your fund from others with similar names.

 

 

 

Chances are you want as many people to know about your campaign as possible. However, if this is not the case, select "Make Personal Fund Private" to prevent your campaign from being displayed in search results. If you select this option, your campaign will only be accessible via the URL you disclose to your supporters.
