The Dome might be down, but it’s not out.

While we’re disappointed by the narrow November 5th vote that vetoed Harris County’s plan to save the Astrodome, a date has not yet been set for the demolition of this iconic structure.

Since November, we’ve been monitoring the situation daily, working directly with county officials to assess next steps for the Eighth Wonder of the World. Because the Astrodome is owned by Harris County, its fate ultimately rests with the county judge and the four county commissioners. This group is currently taking great care to consider the three options available at this time — private development, a public-private partnership, or demolition.

Please use this online form to contact these Harris County officials today and let them know that you support saving the Dome. Even if you don’t live in Harris County, you can still show support for this architectural marvel.

Saving places is never easy and rarely straightforward, but when you believe in something, you stay your course. And we believe in the Dome.

We hope you do, too.
