Tell Congress to Reject Taxpayer-Funded Discrimination

WEB16-ACT-LogosRussell-V02.jpg

Some politicians are trying to use tax dollars to fund discrimination. The Russell Amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would allow organizations and companies receiving federal grants or contracts to discriminate against employees because of the employer’s religious beliefs, which puts women, LGBTQ people, and religious minorities at risk.

We’re fighting back, along with our partners, to stop the Russell Amendment in its tracks.

Many legislators require the 'title' field to be filled in but only accept a predetermined list of options. The National Women's Law Center understands that these options do not represent all gender identities.

Dear [Decision Maker],

As your constituent, I urge you to oppose the Russell Amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) because it would allow contractors receiving federal money to discriminate against women, LGBTQ people, and religious minorities.

Employment discrimination is never acceptable, and my hard-earned tax dollars should never fund bosses who discriminate. I'm counting on you to remove the Russell Amendment from the NDAA.

Sincerely,
