A Summer of Heroes, Hockey and Hope
I’m raising money in support of the Lung Health Foundation by taking part in the #MyLungLife fundraising challenge.
Since I was a little girl, lung health had a significant meaning for me. Having personally been struck by pneumonia multiple times, to watching my grandfather carry around an oxygen tank after his COPD diagnosis, to now living a life with allergic asthma.
I truly believe in the work the Lung Health Foundation does on a daily basis in fighting to improve the lung health of Canadians.
Some people walk, some people ride, but Canadians play hockey. Please support me as I take the #MyLungLife challenge and 'Train Like a Hockey Player'.
Each week, throughout the summer I will be setting working on my activity goals to help me with my fundraising and contribute to my teams goal of 22,000 goals scored and $22,000.
So far I have:
- Practiced my shooting skills in the driveway x 30 shots
- Tried hitting golf balls at the range (for the very first time, I might add..) x 20 balls hit
- scheduled 2 HIIT sessions a week x 12 goals (1 goal for each ten minutes of exercise)
Feel free to suggest activities I can try throughout the summer, but only those given with a donation will be completed. The more I raise, the harder I will work.
Please consider supporting generously!
