OREF Endowment Funds
Donors can contribute to one of many endowment funds managed by OREF, and also to the unrestricted portion of the OREF Endowment. Endowments are funds created to receive gifts with the intent that all of the money contributed will be reserved in principal, and only the interest from the money will be used to support research and educational programs. Currently, OREF manages more than 35 such endowments, each of which has its own unique purpose for the good of the organization. These endowments include specialty organizations, a few regional orthopaedic societies, and some professional organizations such as clinics or hospitals.
Please note: Endowment giving comprises gifts that are accumulated in principal, with only the interest used for current support. It is crucial that OREF and its designated partners receive your continued support through the OREF Annual Fund as well to support research in 2015.

“I support the OREF Annual Fund because without research, the specialty would become stagnant. I also believe that it is important to give back to your profession.” — Charles A. Borgia, MD, San Jose, CA
Note: To be acknowledged as 2015 contributions, gifts must be received no later than December 31, 2015.
