WOW that was fast--we hit the minimum (and even went a little over) in the first 24 hours! I am opening this up to the standard $750 as a reach goal, thank you everyone who has given so far or just looked or shared!

Hello, friends! As you may know, I have become increasingly fond of (and serious about) cycling as a hobby and transportation method over the past year. 

In an effort to put my passion to a positive use, I have registered for the Pan-Florida Challenge Cancer Ride this coming March in Naples, Florida and have committed to raising $375 in support of their mission. 

Contributions will help not just to fund cancer research but to also address the material conditions that can affect cancer outcomes by helping to feed hungry children in South Florida communities.

I could mention those close to me who have survived or succumbed to cancer, and while I appreciate the way those stories humanize the struggle and perseverance of cancer patients, I also suspect most folks have had their lives affected by cancer and inherently understand the need for support.
