Test TubeCall Today: Tell your Senators to Limit Animal Testing

Please take a moment to call your senators and respectfully urge them to vote FOR the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (H.R. 2576) which will reduce and replace animals in chemical tests with human-relevant nonanimal methods. Please be polite and encouraging. Use the following talking points as a guide:

  • I am calling as your constituent to urge you to vote for the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act
  • The bill requires the Environmental Protection Agency and the chemical industry to consider and use nonanimal testing methods and strategies
  • The use of quick and human-relevant test methods and strategies—recommended by the National Academy of Sciences—is the best way to protect public health and the environment
  • The Lautenberg Act is supported by many environmental and public health organizations

After taking this action, please email your senator and make your voice heard.
