Ask Hartford Hospital to End the Use of Pigs in its ATLS Courses

Please help end Hartford Hospital’s use of live pigs in trauma training courses. PCRM members have sent more than 10,000 e-mails to Hartford Hospital asking its leaders to end the use of live animals in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training. However, the decision-makers at Hartford Hospital don’t seem to be getting the message that 98 percent of ATLS courses are taught with nonanimal methods, including human-based simulators.

If you have any questions, please contact PCRM Manager of Humane Education Programs, Ryan Merkley at rmerkley@pcrm.org. Thanks so much for your help!
