Food for Life Instructor Terri Edwards

Terri Edwards is a Food for Life instructor, health coach, and nutrition blogger for EatPlant-based.com. Her personal mission is to promote the power of food for restored health and hopefully see lives changed, just like hers was.

At the age of 35, Terri was suffering with painful joints, as well as other health issues that were progressively worsening. Her mother has debilitating rheumatoid arthritis, and Terri was concerned she was experiencing similar symptoms. After numerous doctors visits and blood tests with no answers, she decided to investigate nutritional options. She says that watching the Forks Over Knives documentary changed her life.

In addition to resolving her inflamed and painful joints, she also lowered her cholesterol, lost 45 pounds, cleared up adult acne, and resolved sleep issues.

Why did you become a Food for Life instructor?

"Being a Food for Life instructor allows me to pursue my passion for sharing the life-changing power of food. I want to help others understand how easy and satisfying plant-based nutrition can be and watch their transformation back to health!"

Here is what class attendees are saying…

To say that the Food for Life class has been one of the two most important and valuable investments of my time would be an understatement. I began a consistent and dedicated routine of exercise four years ago. As time progressed I realized I still needed to eat a more healthful diet and give up the "Atkins" eating plan. In the five weeks since I began this program, not only did I NOT gain weight from the huge increase of carbohydrates, but I lost a few pounds. By planning meals ahead, I am always satiated with less bulk and have no cravings AT ALL!!! Joint pain has greatly diminished if not eliminated all together. My husband has been sweeter to me...that could be because he's reaping the benefits of all these "clean" dishes...or maybe he wants something special from 'ol Santa. Whatever it is...I'm happy!."
    -Sandi M., Cowpens, S.C.

Knowledge is a powerful thing and I feel empowered after the 4 weeks. I am a cancer patient, diabetic, and heart patient. The last 4 weeks I have dropped my blood sugar by 41 points and weight by 7.2 lbs. I can't wait to have my A1C checked. I have not had to use sliding scale insulin in 4 weeks, and I feel great. So much energy! I had no problem transitioning to a plant based diet. I wish I had known this 50 years ago. At age 70, I plan to continue the plant based diet. I have shared the information I have learned with family and friends."
    -Judy K., Inman, SC

Terri and the class were Wonderful--full of energy and very helpful. I feel amazing after all of the classes!”
