Food for Life Instructor Vicki Woolman

Vicki's lifelong passion for health, nutrition, and delicious food has opened the door for her to help others discover their own vitality. As a Physicians Committee Food for Life instructor, she teaches her students how to navigate the grocery store aisles, work with almost any restaurant menu, and create amazing, wholesome, and nutritious meals. Vicki is a longtime cancer survivor and yoga enthusiast. She believes there is a direct connection between how you treat your body and, in return, how it treats you.

Why did you become a Food for Life instructor?

"The Physicians Committee is at the forefront of change, helping people improve their health through diet and education. I am grateful to have this opportunity to share their message, which is in alignment with my own beliefs."

Here is what class attendees are saying…

“Thank you, Vicki. I appreciate all that you offered today. Your enthusiasm and knowledge is a wonderful gift. I plan to make all the recipes you prepared today for my family. So yummy! I drove 42 miles to be in the class and it was more than worth the distance."
-Dr. Laura LaPiana, Agoura Hills, CA

"Everyone who is concerned about nutrition will benefit from this class — and enjoy it. For those of us challenged to survive cancer, it is a great inspiration!”
-Brian C., St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn.

"After five weeks on the program, my husband and I have both lost 10 pounds. My blood sugar has dropped 30 points. My doctor says I may get off all medications at the next visit. I am a breast cancer survivor and my husband has heart disease, so this is a must for us!”
-Annie H., Roanoke Recreation Center, Roanoke, Texas
