The Physicians Committee invites you to join our 2017 Summer Speaker Series! In this series, attendees will meet and mingle with acclaimed experts in plant-based nutrition from around the country! Books will be available for purchase at each event when applicable, and featured speakers will be available for questions and to sign books. Delicious plant-based light fare and beverages will be served.

In their new cookbook, the Vegan Mos, Ethan Ciment and Michael Suchman bring New York's fabulous foods to the plant-based table. Be prepared for a lively conversation as the authors share their story and their views on equality and animal rights, one meal at a time! Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 6:30-8 p.m.: The Cheese Trap with Neal Barnard, M.D.

In his new book, The Cheese Trap, Physicians Committee founder and president Dr. Neal Barnard reveals the shocking truth about cheese and offers readers a way to break free of their cheese addiction so they can lose weight, boost energy, and improve overall health. We will leave time for Q-and-A, and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signature.

Monday, Aug. 28, 6:30 - 8 p.m. Beth Love

In her Tastes Like Love book series, Santa Cruz–based teacher and facilitator Beth Love creates and shares meals that nourish the planet, body, heart, and soul. Guests will leave inspired to make choices that promote wholeness and sustainability for individuals, families, communities and the earth. Books will be available for purchase and guests will enjoy tasty samples!

Tickets: Our 2017 Summer Speaker Series is free and space is limited. Reservations are required.

Parking: Free street parking is available on Wisconsin Avenue starting at 6:30pm, and along Garrison and Fessenden Streets. Additionally, there is a parking lot directly behind the building that charges $4/hr.

Enter using the main entrance facing Wisconsin Avenue and take the elevator to the 4th floor. Look for the registration table.
