Urge Congress to Protect the Defense of Marriage Act

President Obama’s Justice Department has announced that it will no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) because it feels the law is unconstitutional. 90% of states protect marriage as the union of one man and one woman. In each of the 31 states where the people have been allowed to vote on this issue, the people have said they want marriage to continue to be defended as the union of one man and one woman. President Obama’s decision not to defend a law that conflicts with his personal agenda is a dangerous precedent that threatens the rule of law in our nation. Please fill out the form below to send a message to both of your senators and your representative to let them know you are concerned about this issue. A sample message has been provided for you that you can send or edit to make your statement in your own words.
