Last week, the U.S. Senate failed to advance S. 311 which grossly mischaracterized abortion care later in pregnancy, falling short of the 60 votes required. The legislation would have disregarded providers’ training and clinical judgment and undermined their ability to determine the best course of treatment with their patients. Please call your Senators thank them for their vote against the bill or let them know that you are disappointed in their vote for the bill. To see how your Senator voted, go to senate.gov/legislative. If your Senator did not vote, let them know you oppose the bill.
