Life Lists Leaders

Our leaders are just that: people who got out in front and kick-started their fundraising campaigns early, qualifying quickly to live their dream. There’s a lot we can learn from their success, so we share the examples below.

If you’re looking for a more specific example of how to best set up your fundraising page to kick off your campaign, check out our five tips for success.

Matt Boland, Kingston, ON

Matt_Boland_LeadersI’ve known about the Life Lists Challenge for a while, and I was definitely up for the closed track car racing experience… I just didn’t know how I’d meet my fundraising goal. One night over cocktails, my girlfriend and her friends were really getting into a 90’s video playlist on Youtube and the idea was born. I contacted a local bar who donated the space, streamed video from my laptop to a projection screen, and we took everybody back to high school with a 1990’s video dance. It didn’t take much to find 40 of my friends who’d pay $20 each to support the cause and have a good time… a month later, with a few donations from my parents and other family who were happy to give, I was qualified. Nothing to it.

See you on the track!
