Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM) is a yearlong movement dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with cancer. We provide emotional and financial support for the families of kids at Riley Hospital for Children by raising funds for cancer research at the Herman B. Wells Pediatric Research Center, and by helping to financially support the Child Life Zone within the hospital.

As a community, we understand the PUDM is much more than the monetary amount we raise. Our mission goes beyond the dollar sign, and every year we aim to make stronger student leaders out of the thousands of Purdue students who represent the hundreds of teams we have participate in PUDM. Our efforts culminate every year in an 18-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping, “Dance Marathon.” If you are interested in joining us this year, please see below:

How to Register

Join a Team: Our teams are made up of everyone from Greek and cooperative chapters to student orgs to friend groups. To join a team, click “Join A Team” and type in the name of your organization. If your organization  appears, select “Join” and proceed with registration as a participant. If your organization does not appear, select “I would like to start a new team” and create a team for your organization. If you have any questions, email Anne Smith at

Want to help fundraise, but unable to attend? If for whatever reason you are unable or unwilling to attend the marathon in November, but would still like to help fundraise, we have an option for you! Follow the steps above to either join an existing team or register as an individual, but when it comes time to select “Participant” or “Virtual Dancer”, choose “Virtual Dancer.” This option will waive the $30 donation to register, but virtual dancers are not able to attend the marathon. If you registered as a virtual dancer by mistake, or wish to switch from virtual to traditional participant, email Jeremy Dewell at
