The 2019 Indiana University Dance Marathon will be the second time I stand on my feet and dance like a maniac in honor of the children and families of Riley's Hospital for Children at IU Health! This time, however, I will be dancing for the whole 36 hours instead of the 12 hours I participated in last November!
All proceeds from our dance marathon directly benefit Riley Hospital and last year IUDM raised $4.1 million for the kids! This year we hope to surpass that number! I am so excited to be more involved and volunteer my time and energy to raise more money for this organization!
This year I have gotten myself more involved with IUDM by joining the Public Relations committee. Through the meetings I have gone to and the more time I've put into this organization, I know now that I am completely all in for IUDM!
This year I am dancing in memory of my friend Lauren Hill, my friend's son Peyton Hazeltine, Ryan White, and Ashley Louise Crouse. All four of these people have lights that will never be put out. They are inspirations to anyone who learns about their stories and their passion is carried on by those of us who participate in dance marathons across the country!
