Aiden went from a sore throat to pneumonia to multiple organ failure within a matter of 3 days. Thanks to the quick response and diligence of the Critical Care Team at Riley's Children's Hospital, Aiden was given the chance to survive. His recovery was a slow and tedious process, with constant adjustments to medications and different levels of life support, including ECMO, dialysis, and hemodialysis. After 32 days and 20 pounds lighter, Aiden was almost entirely recovered and able to return home. One and a half years later, he is back to one hundred percent, with only a few scars that tell the tale of the brush with death he experienced, which no child should ever know. Aiden is currently a freshman at Zionsville Community High School and enjoys soccer, reading and playing with his dog. He will be representing Riley in the Bop to the Top in January and other events throughout the year.
Thank you for supporting Aiden as he does his part to give back to this incredible facility that save the lives of kids like Aiden every day. Please donate and please share this page.
