Let’s Get Moving to End Domestic Violence
As part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Richstone is hosting its first ever virtual Marathon month. We are asking our community to join us in this free event by walking or running 26.2 miles throughout October to raise awareness of domestic violence and raise funds for Richstone’s support programs for survivors.
While we cannot gather physically to log the miles, we hope that you will stay connected virtually. We expect to have friends near and far to lace up their shoes and log miles in support of domestic violence survivors. Each week, we will send an email out with a special challenge that we hope you will participate in. Keep us updated with your progress on social media using #RunForRichstone
During the pandemic, we have seen an increase in demand for our trauma-based support services related to domestic violence and child abuse. Get your friends and family to participate in moving to end domestic violence with walks, jog, and runs throughout October. We hope to see you (virtually) as you log your miles, share your progress in our shared Marathon Month Photo Album.
