Save Funding for Biking, Walking and Trails

It’s a flurry of activity on Capitol Hill as both houses of Congress tackle spending bills before the August recess.

In the Senate, Senator Rand Paul wants to eliminate already-dwindling funding for bike lanes, pedestrian safety projects and the Recreational Trails Program.

Meanwhile in the U.S. House, transportation funding is likely to take a heavy hit.

We need to keep the pressure on to ensure that vital funding for biking, walking and trails programs remains intact.

Update: (8/01/13) Transportation funding bills in both the House and Senate have been left to be resolved after Congress returns from vacation in September. We need to keep the pressure on. If you haven’t already, please take action now.

Please write your Senators and Representative today to stop cuts to important biking, walking and trails programs.
