This award honours Candy Palmater, a great friend of Seneca who passed away in 2021. Candy was a life-long advocate for women, Indigenous people and the 2SLGBTQ+ community. She spoke many times at Seneca, always with great wisdom, humour and compassion. Candy's words helped our community understand the everday reality of equity-deserving populations in Canada.
