Seva is a global nonprofit eye care organization that transforms lives by restoring sight and preventing blindness.
Our programs build self-sustaining eye clinics that provide critical eye care to underserved communities, especially women, children, and indigenous communities.
An estimated 253 million people in the world are blind or vision impaired. 75% of that visual impairment can be prevented or cured. Seva’s programs have reduced the cost of cataract surgery to just $50 and have been instrumental in making eye care available to the global poor.
Restoring sight has been shown to be one of the most effective ways to relieve suffering and reduce poverty. In more than 20 countries, Seva has helped 4 million people who were blind to regain their sight. Our programs have also provided eyeglasses and other sight-saving services to tens of millions people in need. Learn more about Seva here.
