Remember you will require your race bib to access all of the post-race activities including our food stations. Please be sure to fill out your name, emergency contact, and any allergies on the back of your bib, in case of a medical emergency.
The in-person race will be held at Mel Lastman Square (5100 Yonge Street) in North York. The nearest major intersection is Yonge St. and Sheppard Ave. We encourage all participants to take public transit or car pool. If you plan to drive please check the road closures and available/preferred parking options.
The weather can be unpredictable on race day, so please dress accordingly. A general rule is to dress for 10° cooler than the actual temperature to account for the heat your run will create. The event will be a go rain or shine!
If you have collected any cash or cheques, please be sure to drop them off at our donations tent located on the square.
At the start line, you will be placed in your corralled section. To locate your corral section, look for volunteers who are holding up a corral sign that corresponds with the corral colour on your bib.
Free bag check is available on site. Please proceed to bag check with your race bib. The perforated portion on your bib should be used for bag identification. Fill in the information section at the bottom of your bib in advance in order to reduce any line ups.
Please note: Sunnybrook Foundation cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items or valuables.
The start line is located west of Mel Lastman Square, on Beecroft Road between Park Home Avenue and North York Boulevard. Please make your way to the start line 30 minutes before your designated start time as all races will start promptly.
Medical services will be provided by Odyssey Medical along the route, finish line, and in Mel Lastman Square.
Water stations are available on route and in Mel Lastman Square. Please bring a refillable water bottle as there will be a limited number of biodegradable cups available.
All participants under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian sign a waiver. If you have not done so, please bring a signed copy to race kit pickup or send a scanned copy to rbcraceforthekids@sunnybrook.ca.
You can download the waiver here.
For wheelchair and stroller access to the starting line from Mel Lastman Square, please go to the north end of Mel Lastman Square and follow the accessibility signs located near Starbucks on Yonge Street.
Lost children can be reported at the Information Tent located in Mel Lastman Square near Yonge Street and the Finish Line. If a lost child is found they will be brought to the Information Tent and an announcement will be made on the main stage.
