Did you know as many as 1.2 million Canadian youth are struggling with mental illness? I was shocked to learn that 4 out of 5 of these young people aren’t receiving the care they need. These statistics reinforce what I have already learned...people, including youth and their families are living in pain. And, odds are, there’s probably someone in your circle who is having the same experience.
While a long time volunteer in this space, I felt compelled to do something more so I’m participating in RBC Race for the Kids, a charity fundraising race that specifically supports youth mental health.
I’m raising money for the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook, an innovative program that connects young people struggling with mental illness and addiction to the help they desperately need.
The Family Navigation Project is 100% funded by donations from caring people like you.
Your donation through my fundraising page helps ensure that young people and their families find the mental health care services they need.
I believe we all benefit when we help young people. When you make a donation through RBC Race for the Kids, you’re supporting a life-changing program that allows youth in our community to get the help they need so they can reach their potential.
Thank you so much for your support of the Family Navigation Project and RBC Race for the Kids.
