Did you know as many as 1.2 million Canadian youth are struggling with mental illness?
As a mom to and a health care worker, this number feels way to many . Out of these 1.2 million youths, 4 out of 5 of aren’t receiving the care they need. These statistics made me realize there’s probably someone in my circle — and in yours — who’s needs our attention, support, or helping hands.
That’s why my family is participating in RBC Race for the Kids and raising money in support of the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook.
