eFoil for Special Olympics: Oceanside to Mission Beach
In my experience as a Special Olympics coach, I have spoken to many families of athletes with intellectual disabilities who have suffered a disruption of services since covid. I am so proud to be a Special Olympics coach as it is apparent that there is a need for families and athletes to continue to have an outlet for their love and passion for sports. Most things are more expensive for people with disabilities, not to mention the cost of living and medical costs. Special Olympics doesn’t charge athletes to participate so that cost is never a barrier.
I, along with all the incredible So Cal team members, coaches, etc. are always overjoyed when we see the smiles and passion on the faces of these incredible athletes. They train and compete with such pure enjoyment and transparency without any or the media hype, confrontations, drama, money, etc. that we often see in professional sports that take the pureness and shine of what sports should be. With the help of Lift Foils, I am raising $10,000 to support our local Special Olympics athletes and bring a spotlight to their incredible achievements.
