Special Olympics holds a special place in my heart! Years ago, the City of Rancho Cucamonga started a Special Olympics soccer and bocce team.  Over the years it grew.  It made me so happy to know we were providing sports to a population that didn't always have access to all the benefits that sports can provide a person.  In addition to the great work, we were doing in Rancho Cucamonga with Special Olympics; my special needs niece was able to participate in Special Olympics through her high school.  To see the friends, she was making and the joy on her face through competition gave me a feeling I just can't describe.  All people, including those with intellectual disabilities should have the opportunity to thrive in sports.  Special Olympics gives them that opportunity.  Please help me reach my goal in raising funds for an organization that is so near and dear to me!
