What is Wag n’ Walk? 

  • Wag n’ Walk is a virtual Walk fundraiser. The donations raised by participants help SPCA Monterey County care for abused, neglected and homeless animals.

 

When and Where is the Wag n’ Walk? 

  • The Virtual Wag n’ Walk will be on Saturday, May 1, from the comfort of your home or wherever you'd like. Livestream starting 9 am.

 

What if I cannot participate in the virtual Walk but I want to raise funds for the animals? 

  • Participation on the day of the virtual Walk is not required. You may still register online as a virtual walker and use the website tools to raise funds, or use a printed pledge form to raise money. Send cash, checks, and forms to:

What do I do with the cash and checks that I collect?

  • Please mail them to our Shelter, enclose donations in an envelope and include a donation form detailing all donations; write "Wag n' Walk, Attn: Lidia Wilding"

Who do I contact if a donation does not appear on my fundraising page? 

  • Email wagnwalk@spcamc.org with the name of the person who donated and the amount (if known). We can look up the donation in our database to determine how it was credited and quickly add it to your page.

 

How is the money I raise used? 

  • One-hundred percent of the funds raised from this event go directly to the operating expenses of our animal shelter and its services, which include a spay/neuter clinic, a pet behavior hotline, humane outreach and many other vital programs. We care for over 10,000 cats, dogs, horses, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, exotic pets, and more every year.

 

I’m a cat lover. Do I need to have a dog to participate in the virtual Walk? 

  • You don’t have to have a dog to participate in the event. We welcome cat lovers! You might consider walking in honor of your cat by carrying a photo of your cat on the day of the Walk.

 

What is the deadline for turning in my pledges? 

  • All of the money you raise needs to be turned in by Friday, May 14th, 2021 at 12:00 pm.
