So even though I knew what the symptoms were and went to a rheumatologist specifically asking if I had Sjögren's, it wasn't until 3 years later in 2015 that I was formally diagnosed after my symptoms had gotten much worse. It's one of those common, but rarely heard of and hard to diagnose autoimmune diseases.
