Panelists:
- PATRICK D. JOHN is a black Christian attorney living and working in Chicago, IL. He is a member of Chicago’s Jewish Decalogue Society of Lawyers and serves on its anti-Semitism committee. He grew up for several years in Brooklyn NY and completed his undergraduate education at the CIty College of NY in Harlem, where he majored in Urban Legal Studies and minored in Black Studies. Patrick is originally from Guyana, South America a place of great religious diversity.
- SAM OLENS is a counsel in the Public Policy practice at Dentons. He is the former president of Kennesaw State University and was twice elected attorney general of Georgia. In this role he worked to strengthen the penalties for and protect the victims of sex trafficking, stem the epidemic of prescription drug abuse and strengthen Georgia’s Sunshine laws. Prior to being elected attorney general, Sam was chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners. Following 18 years of elected office, Sam is working to promote greater tolerance and non-discrimination in our communities.
- MARK WEITZMAN is the Director of Government Affairs and chief representative to the Simon Wiesenthal Center to the United Nations in New York. He has been called “the architect” of the internationally recognized Working Definition of Antisemitism and is a winner of the National Jewish Book Award.
