We are a group of (mostly!) retired neighbours in the Coldstream suburb of Vernon, B.C. who get together every weekday morning to walk 4 or 5 kilometres for health and fitness. We find the time seems lessened significantly by our constant chatter. We start out walking at 9:00am and are surprised by how quickly the walk ends as we visit our friends with the obligatory six feet of physical distancing. We call ourselves “the Vintage Voyagers” because one of our friends was admired for his “vintage look”. That created a great deal of hilarity and we haven’t let him forget it yet. The good cause of the Variety Club got us all together to double our regular route with a 10 kilometre walk to help the children of the Variety Club. Please excuse our excessive alliteration as we call ourselves “The Vintage Voyagers of Vernon for Variety”!
