Stage IV Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) that had metastasized to both of my
It’s amazing how life can
change that fast. In the first year of my
fight, I underwent 11 rounds of chemotherapy, lung surgery to remove the remaining
tumor masses, and a liver transplant, by August of 2010, I was declared cancer
Unfortunately, my journey is
far from over…On February 24, 2011 it was determined that the
cancer had returned to my lungs. I underwent a second lung surgery in
June 2011, and additional chemotherapy, and remained in remission for 6 months
until December 2011 when again the cancer had returned to my lungs for a third
time. I underwent radiation on my lungs and
received 7 more rounds of chemotherapy until May 2012, when the doctors once
again declared me to be cancer free...where I PRAY I will stay.
The Jackson Laskowski Keep HOPE Alive Fund was created
to help assist my family as well as other families who are struggling to fight
cancer head on amidst the emotional and
financial battles that are waged daily as the war on cancer takes it toll.
