The 22nd Saint-Lambert Games for Cancer Research
The Saint-Lambert Games for Cancer Research started in 2002, an initiative of Dr. Volker Blank, professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University and principal investigator at the Lady Davis Medical Research Center, studying the molecular mechanisms leading to cancer. Dr. Blank had received his first research grant from the Cancer Research Society and wanted to give back to the organization that had given him the first chance in his career and support the cause. With the help of his family and neighbors, he founded Les Jeux de Saint-Lambert, a local activity open to all, encouraging physical activity while supporting cancer research.
Since their first edition, the Saint-Lambert Games have brought together participants of all ages (3 years and up) for a fun day of physical activities and friendly outdoor Olympic-style competitions, including sprinting, jumping, throwing, running potato sacks and tug of war, for the benefit of the Society.
The Saint Lambert Games are back for a 22nd consecutive year!
