Last week, Governor Rauner vetoed the General Assembly’s health and human services budget. The new fiscal year begins on July 1^st, and without a budget and adequate revenue, many important services are at risk of shutdown.

What is at Stake?
Without a budget and sufficient revenue to support it, all state-funded services, including mental health treatment services, are at risk. It is urgent that the Governor and the General Assembly cooperate now to find a responsible budget agreement to fund critical health and human services before July 1^st.

Withholding vital treatment services will result in increased human and financial costs in the form of hospital stays, ER visits, increased jail use, and more.
