Working at the Foundation had made me more aware of Breast Cancer and how important the resources are that our hospital provides. Being a woman, having strong women in my family, and now being pregnant with my own daughter, statistically one of us will get breast cancer. I want to do all I can to make sure we all have access to the best screening, so that if one of us does develop cancer it is caught early and is treatable. Everyone deserve a fighting chance and that starts with easy access to mammograms, whether you have insurance or not. 

The Miracle Mile Walk supports Piedmont Augusta's Randy W. Cooper, M.D., Center for Breast Health Services and Mobile Mammography Unit, which provide life-saving screenings to women in our community regardless of their ability to pay. No woman is ever turned away from the mobile unit! On behalf of University Health Care Foundation, and the patients whose lives are saved and myself, thank you for your partnership. Even if you can’t walk with me, you can support me every step of the way!
