UNCF South Texas – Houston is hosting the 2nd Annual Partnership Breakfast on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in honor of the organization’s commitment to sending students from the community to college for eight decades. At this special event, our friends at Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Southwest Airlines are helping us award students in need of laptops and airline vouchers. You must apply on or before May 17, 2024, and meet the eligibility criteria and requirements below.
Eligibility:
- Graduating High School Junior, Senior or Current College Student returning the next semester (any two- and four-year accredited higher learning institutions qualify).
- For laptop request must be a full-time permanent resident of Greater Houston Metropolitan area.
- For airline voucher request must be a full-time permanent resident of Greater Houston Metropolitan area and attending an out of state UNCF member institution school.
- Demonstrated financial need (verified by financial aid office or recommending organization).
Requirements:
- Must be present at the event’s presentation ceremony to receive laptop.
- Must provide a 30-second video answering the following question: How will your college education transform your life?
- Must submit the Student Program Opportunity Google Form.
- Must be willing to participate in community events as a student program/project representative to give testimony.
- Must sign agreement and provide permission to use image, name, and story in promotional materials.
- Must submit headshot photo that is professional. Backgrounds cannot be in bathroom, car, bedroom, etc.
Submission Information and Deadline:
