The Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre (CWHHC) is working to improve outcomes for women who are at risk or living with heart and vascular diseases in Canada by:

● Conducting women-specific heart and vascular health research,
● Enhancing care and improving outcomes in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease in women, and
● Raising awareness of heart disease in women through advocacy and education.

Two of our national initiatives include:

The Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance (CWHHA) is a network of experts and advocates with the goal of improving women’s cardiovascular health in Canada. The CWHHA is powered by the CWHHC with funding support from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.

The Canadian Women’s Heart Health Summit (CWHHS), held every two years, is the only event of its kind and has become the national reference point for health professionals seeking up-to-date knowledge of women’s heart, brain and vascular health.
