In honour of Trish, I have decided to JUMP IN For Women’ Heart Health! Throughout September I will participate in a 30-day activity challenge where I will get active for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. I am now 7 days into the challenge, and have been successful biking, swimming, paddling or hiking every day (sometimes a challenge the first week back to school!). All money raised specifically supports women’s heart health research, a cause that I want to get behind. I signed up through the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Here is the blurb from the fundraising committee:
By committing to this challenge, we are not only taking care of us, we are investing in unparalleled programs, services, and research initiatives powered by the Canadian Women's Heart Health Centre (CWHHC), including national initiatives of the Canadian Women's Heart Health Alliance. Through this campaign, we will help start the conversation and raise awareness for women and heart disease.
I hope you can join me and others participating by making a donation.
I am not normally a person who constantly asks for money donations but I feel like this it is a worthy cause, especially this month. Thank you in advance for any support and making a difference!
