Shy Dog Class - MKE
Milwaukee Campus

This four-week course is designed for dogs that are fearful or shy of people, other dogs, objects, noises, etc.  In these sessions, we use desensitizing and counter conditioning techniques.  You will also learn basic training cues that help your dog to build confidence and make you proud, too. The course is based on the following:

  • Identifying and understanding the TRIGGERS that cause the fear or reaction
  • Improving your LEADERSHIP skills to redirect and reinforce good behavior
  • Using CALMING techniques such as essential oils, massage and calming signals

VACCINATIONS: All dogs need to be current on their Rabies (if over 4 months of age), Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines before the first class. Be sure to bring your vaccination records with you to the first class! Please check your records because even if you adopted from us, you may not have all the vaccinations needed for class. Dogs will not be able to participate in class without proper vaccination records.

*Polite children over the age of 12 are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.

****  PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE ****

If you decide not to attend the class date in which you are registered your payment will be used for the animals in our non-profit facility. If you are uncertain whether our classes will meet your expectations, you are welcome to sit in on a class (without your dog) before you pay. Just give us a call.
