Off-Leash Virtual Vet Camp

Off-Leash Virtual Vet Camp

Bella being examined before surgery

The Wisconsin Humane Society is excited to offer a virtual camp for young people in grades 6-9 who are interested in veterinary science to enjoy from home!

About Virtual Vet Camp:

Ever wondered what it takes to become a veterinarian? Dive into the exciting world of veterinary science and discover what it takes to become an animal doctor. Learn what veterinarians do each day and the skills needed to work with animals.

This camp is offered live online daily Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. During the live camp, kids will be encouraged to connect with other campers, explore the world of veterinary science, and participate in lessons that get thinking, exploring, and creating. Campers will have a chance to virtually meet our staff members’ animals as well as other animal guests. We will also provide engaging content and activities for campers to check out outside of the scheduled camp hours each day.

Camp Pricing:

Registrants get to name your own fee for this camp. Whatever amount you select is a tax-deductible donation to support the work of the Wisconsin Humane Society. To help you determine how much you would like to contribute, consider the following:
  • $25 provides a leash and collar to 2 dogs
  • $50 vaccinates 10 cats
  • $100 protects 20 dogs from heartworm disease
  • $250 supplies medicine for up to 25 animals each month
Camp Kits:

In addition, campers can purchase a camp kit for $30 (shipping included) that includes a camp T-shirt, printed materials, and camp supplies shipped to your home. Due to the specialized nature of the activities in vet camp, a camp kit is strongly encouraged. The kit is designed to be fun and make your child feel connected to camp, as well as to be convenient for you because the kit will include most of the camp supplies needed for camp in one place. We'll also provide a list of basic supplies such as pencils, scrap paper, glue, and scissors, that campers should also have on hand

Registrants who opt not to purchase a camp kit will receive a list of supplies and PDFs of the worksheets to print and instructions needed to participate in camp.

Kits must be purchased by Wednesday, June 10 to ensure you receive your kit before camp starts.
