Puppy Enrichment Drop Off
WHS Milwaukee Campus

Thank you for your interest in Puppy Enrichment Drop Off with the Wisconsin Humane Society!

Wisconsin Humane Society's Puppy Enrichment Program provides 1.5 hours of fun and learning for puppies from 8-16 weeks of age on the date that the service is provided

This is a drop off program- puppy owners will drop off their puppies and pick them up at the end of the event. Puppy owners will NOT enter the building for this event.

Puppies enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to develop their social skills with other puppies in a safe environment, with constant supervision and support. During play time, puppies will begin to practice life skills such as name recognition and coming when called, as well as beginning to learn basic skills like sit and gently taking treats. Puppies will have the opportunity to explore and navigate novel objects to build confidence and body awareness. Puppies will have breaks to go potty, rest in a relaxing atmosphere, and will also have 1x1 training sessions.

During these personalized training sessions, puppies will work individually with their trainer to build the foundation for relaxation in crates, comfort with handling for grooming and veterinary care, recall, loose-leash walking, and more. Puppy parents who are also participating in a weekly Puppy Class or in Private Training would have those skills supported during their puppy's 1x1 training session.

Care during the Puppy Enrichment Program and individual training sessions are provided by Wisconsin Humane Society's Behavior and Training Specialist, Samantha Steinbring, CPDT-KA.

Proof of age appropriate vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies if age appropriate) are required for attendance. We strongly encourage you to email your vaccination records to sstein@wihumane.org in advance of your scheduled session. Due to the low numbers that we maintain for this program so that we are able to offer each puppy individualized support, pre-registration is required with no exceptions.

Curbside drop off for this program is between 11-11:15pm. Curbside pickup for this program is between 12:30 and 12:45pm.

* PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE * If you decide not to attend the event in which you are registered your payment will be used for the animals in our non-profit facility. If you are uncertain whether our event will meet your expectations, feel free to email at sstein@wihumane.org.
