Hello Teammates!

Thanks for joining--or thinking about joining--team "Adopt! Don't Shop!". By participating in this year's Pet Walk MKE you will help ensure that we have another amazing year of saving lives at the Wisconsin Humane Society. We have shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door and Brown Counties in the WHS family, thus giving us the ability to help animals in FIVE counties! Having outgrown the inherited potato barn that comprises our shelter in Racine County, we joyously opened our new, much needed state-of-the-art building to benefit humans and animals alike. Our dedicated Spay/Neuter Clinic, vaccination clinics, and Furry Friends pet food bank serve thousands of families and their pets. We have programs for children of all ages. In conjunction with the Sojournor Truth Family Peace Center, the Safe Haven Program brings hope to victims of domestic violence and their companion animals Our fabulous Wildlife Rehabilitation Center continues to find innovative ways to help our wildlife friends. How do we accomplish all of this? Thanks to supporters like YOU!! Please join me in making sure that no dog, cat, rabbit, bird, or pocket pet has to be turned away--and that all adoptable animals continue to have as long as it takes to find their forever homes.
