Welcome to Cooper's Fundraising Page!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Pet Walk 2019 to raise funds for the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus.
This will be Cooper's SIXTH Pet Walk! He was only 6 months old the first time he did this, and I think he may have been the last to finish. :-D We've come back every year except one since then, and we love to fundraise for this organization that helps pets get healthy and find new and loving homes.
As many of you know, Cooper's big brother Jake is battling lymphoma. We've decided to walk and fundraise in Jake's name. What a great way to honor such a wonderful dog, by raising money to help other pets. Jake is very well-loved, and we'd like to see other pets have the chance to be loved, too.
(If you'd like to join us on the walk, register under our team name: Cooper Loves Jake!)
He is free.
Jake went downhill very quickly over the weekend. This morning it was very clear he was ready to go. He passed very peacefully at our vet’s office. Before taking him to the funeral home that has helped us with cremations for all our pets, we took him home so Cooper could see him. He trembled so hard we were afraid he would have a seizure (we expect that this will bring one on sometime soon). He seems ok right now, but we expect this to be hard for him. Our cats also saw him.
Jake was an amazing dog who brought so much to our lives. In so many ways he was a perfect dog, and so happy. He did not have a bad day until the last few weeks of his life - he was so laid back and everyone was his best friend. We were truly lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful dog for 12 years. We loved him so much and already miss him.

Together, we can help our Green Bay Campus provide care to more than 5,000 animals this year and continue the promise that every animal in the adoption program has as long as it takes to find a forever home at the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Thank you for your help! And come walk with us if you are available on June 2!

Thank you for the new support this past week in addition to all of you who donated earlier! We lost Jake 3 weeks ago today. It still feels pretty raw and Cooper is looking lonely. (We all are.) I appreciate you all more than you know.
