Stepping Up For A Cause

Every journey begins with a single step is likely a phrase you recognize. It probably has been drilled into your brain ad nauseum. The reason it has been so frequently repeated, likely has to do with the truth it easily coveys. The first part of our lives are incredibly important. The things we learn, and the choices we make serve as the basis for what will become our lives, which is why it is so important to help children have the best start they can.

This September, I’m climbing the LA Memorial Coliseum steps for a great cause! Kids especially thrive when they have the opportunity to develop and grow, and the YMCA provides numerous programs to help them do exactly that. 

The Ketchum-Downtown YMCA serves thousands of community members with programs like Preschool & Day Care, the Growing Young Minds afterschool program, teen programs, Youth & Government, Summer Resident Camp, youth sports, college prep, Community Health Fairs, and more.
