Stepping Up For A Cause
Hello friends and family,
Climbing the tallest staircase west of the Mississippi – 1,664 stairs (75 floors) in the 1,005-foot-tall US Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles - sounds like a fun time, right? On Friday, September 30, I’ll be participating in the YMCA Stair Climb & Urban Hike to raise money for YMCA community programs. If you would like to cheer me on with your financial contribution, or more importantly, if this is a cause that you would like to support, this is where you can sign up.
As my long-time fans know, about seven years ago, I started running half marathons and mini triathlons. With two hip replacements under my belt, my short-lived running career ended. So now, instead of distance I’m going for altitude.
All of the money raised is invested directly in free and low-cost YMCA community programs: food distribution helping families achieve post-pandemic stability, teen programs cultivating future leaders, youth sports fostering teamwork and resilience, summer camps that fill children with the wonder of new experiences, and so much more.
There are many wonderful charities out there and I know that you are generous with your time and treasure. If this charity speaks to you, then consider making a donation. If your charity funds are maxed out or destined for other charities, then thanks for reading and thanks for your other donations.
All my best wishes,
John “Rhino” Einhorn
