YWCA doesn't stop for a virus.

During stay at home orders non-profits remain open, operating and serving a community that was already in desperate need of resources, long before COVID-19. We must continue to operate through the most challenging times. The programs and services YWCA Greater Lafayette provide were essential before this pandemic, and while we have had to adjust our operations, these services remain essential to the people of Greater Lafayette.

COVID-19 Stress Escalates Violence.

Stay-at-home orders can be a matter of life and death for some. With families confined, domestic violence calls to YWCA have increased. Victims and children need support, safety and peace of mind, beyond the worries brought on by the virus.

Vital YWCA Client Services Continue.

Our staff continues to telework so that our essential services continue, such as our Women's Cancer Program. No staff members have been laid off. They are pulling together to serve our clients, sometimes stepping into roles hey wouldn't normally hold to get the job done. Calls are answered. Diagnostic appointments are scheduled.

We need your help as we face the unknown.

YWCA is working harder than ever to ensure women and families in Greater Lafayette are supported in this time of world crisis, but we face many unknowns. Canceled events and suspended programs will hurt our ability to provide services in the long run.

Your support today ensures our survival tomorrow.
