Gehrig's speech brought attention to ALS, raising awareness about the condition and its devastating effects. This helped pave the way for increased research and understanding of ALS.
To honor his name, The ALS Association partners with varsity high school teams across NY state to raise awareness of ALS. Consider donating to help our teams hit their goal of $1,000 so they can play at NBT Bank Stadium in the 2024 Strikeout Lou Gehrig's Disease Classic.
With your donation, the funds raised from this tournament will support over 395 Central New York families currently battling ALS by providing access to accredited ALS clinics, support groups, equipment loans, grant resources, caregiver respite, and more.
