Mom passed away from ALS on May 26, 2000.
"The Norma Simon ALS Patient Equipment Fund" was created to provided equipment that is not covered by insurance for current ALS patients. The annual golf outing is used to support this fund.
Since inception, the golf outing has raised over $376,000! The fund has provided for the following equipment: computer access for speech generating devices, indoor threshold ramps, nutritional supplements, and adaptive equipment such as safety bars, bath benches, eating utensils and transport wheelchairs.
