Team Don
Thanks for visiting our team page! We gather in support of Don - our father, partner, and friend - and together we are "Team Don", riding and volunteering in hopes to challenge ALS, fund research, find a cure, and make a difference in the daily lives of those impacted by this devastating disease.
Don was diagnosed with ALS in early 2023. As an avid gym-goer and someone who has always kept his physical health in peak condition, the news of his diagnosis was a total shock. Don continues to challenge himself by "doing legs today" and keeping up with his typical adventures like scuba diving, landscaping, dancing, playing guitar and more. Not much holds Don back, not even ALS, and we are proud to represent him and support the fight of this disease. Don has been participating in a worldwide clinical trial, the Healey ALS Paltform Trial, has completed the first course of medication, and is now into phase two. He hopes to be able to help identify an effective medication, especially if it will help future patients.
