Become a Volunteer

Volunteers make this Team Challenge ALS event possible. From event planning to post-event breakdown, The ALS Association DC/MD/VA Chapter depends on people donating their time and talents in order to produce successful events that raise awareness and fund the mission.

In appreciation for your volunteer efforts, you will be provided an event T-shirt, commemorative Pint glass, lunch and two drink tickets (ages 21+).

Positions available:

Pre-Event

Social Media: Create content & engagement for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. 2-4 hours per week. 

Day Before Event

Logistics and set-up: Pick up snacks and signs; place signage along bike routes, arrange and distribute cyclists packets.

Event Day

Logistics & Set Up: Set up tables/chairs; arrange T-shirts, signs, water stations. 

Registration: Check in volunteers, cyclists and supporters. Hand out T-shirts and other incentives. 

Rest Stop: Provide snacks and water to cyclists; set up/clean up; SAG mobile; radio communications

Fun zone: Face painting; crafts area and magician

After the Event

Clean Up: Clean up start/finish area, remove route signs
